Bereavement Support

For every family we serve, bereavement is available with Abbey Hospice for a minimum of thirteen months after the death of a loved one. We are happy to be a listening ear, a warm hug, a shoulder to cry on, or just a quiet presence.

Our services include:

• Telephone contact
• Home visits
• Support groups (see below for more information)
• Referral to community resources
• Informational mailings about the grieving process and self-care
• Grief camps for children and teenagers
• Semi-annual memorial services
• Individual bereavement support (by appointment only and on a limited basis)

Grief Support Groups:

Each of our support groups are open to the community and provide an opportunity to share one's experience of loss and grief and listen to others share in a safe, non-threatening environment. These groups are free of charge, not religious affiliated, and there are no expectations or agendas. They are a time to share, listen, cry together, and learn about what can help you move forward. All support groups are located at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, GA.

Join us for one session or multiple sessions!

• 1st and 3rd Friday of every month at 2:00 pm
