Spiritual Care

Many patients and families already have relationships with spiritual leaders from their home churches. We are happy to contact your church on your behalf if you so request. If you do not have a church, you can request a religious leader from your chosen faith and our staff will make every effort to find a local contact to meet your individual needs.

Abbey Hospice also has clergy on staff available anytime you need them. Often, patients request visits from our clergy in addition to visits by their own faith leaders.

Our clergy can be...

...Someone to pray with
...Someone to sing with
...Someone to talk with
...Someone to just be with

Fear. Doubt. Uncertainty. These are all common feelings when facing death.

Abbey Hospice provides clergy to help you explore your spiritual questions. Our purpose is not to force a particular belief on anyone, but to provide professional clergy to help you examine your own beliefs.

Hospice treats the whole person, not just the body. However, spiritual care is completely optional. The individual patient determines his/her participation or lack thereof.

Spiritual Care is available to both patients and their families.
